The Heat Latin Music Awards, commonly known as Premios Heat, will have a new venue this year in Medellin, Colombia.
“IT’S OFFICIAL! Medellín, the city where everything blooms, becomes the home of the HEAT Latin Music Awards 2025. See you in this magical city where music lives and inspires us,” the organization announced early Thursday morning (March 20) in an Instagram post.
Set to take place on May 29, 2025 Premios Heat will take place for the first time in the history of the awards show outside of its usual venue in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic.
Now, the birthplace of reggaeton in South America — and of great figures of the genre such as Karol G, J Balvin, Maluma, Feid, Ryan Castro, among others — will witness the ceremony that recognizes the best of Latin music through public voting.
And it won’t just be the awards night, but an entire week of music with the Heat Medellin Festival, scheduled for May 26-30.
The event, held with the support of the Mayor’s Office of Medellín, seeks to promote the city as a cultural epicenter with this type of event that attracts both locals and tourists, this time to gather around the music industry. Throughout the week there will be different spaces open to the public free of charge, including international conferences, meetings with the press, different networking spaces and showcases.
The programing will be announced at a later date.
